CAPTAIN Andy Gunn claimed the big prize at Banbury United’s presentation awards night.

The defender, who skippered the Puritans to promotion back to the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division, won the club player of the year award, as voted for by Community Benefit Society members.

But it was midfielder Zac McEachran, the younger brother of former Chelsea and now Brentford midfielder Josh, who went home with the most trophies.

He picked up the young player of the year, players’ player and Puritans Radio player of the year awards.

Goalkeeper Jack Harding received the manager’s player of the year accolade.

WANTAGE Town also held their presentation evening, with Sam Barder scooping three awards.

The midfielder won the manager’s player of the year, players’ player of the year and young player as the south Oxfordshire club remained in Division 1 South & West for another season.

James Glover also took home a trophy as he was awarded supporters’ player of the year.
