CHARLIE Brain is hoping Shipton-under-Wychwood can land the derby spoils when they meet in-form Horspath in Division 2 tomorrow.

The west Oxfordshire outfit recorded the double over Will Eason’s side in 2014 – the last time they were both in the second tier of the Home Counties Premier League.

Brain is calling on his side to use those victories to their advantage when they make the short journey to Oxford Road.

He said: “It should give the players some confidence.

“Horspath has always been a nitty-gritty, decent game – competitive, but very friendly off the pitch.

“If we play like we have been I think we can create a bit of an upset.”

Calvin Dickinson and Craig Wood come into the side.

Horspath hand Harrison Ward his first league start of the season, while Pat Foster returns as Mark Skelton and Stephen Green drop down to the 2nd XI.

Skipper Eason says his side will be purely motivated by remaining unbeaten.

“It’s not so much a revenge thing,” he said.

“We just want to keep our momentum going and hopefully come Saturday night we are still unbeaten.”

John Barrett is backing former Indian Premier League star Samad Fallah to make a big impression when he makes his home debut for Oxford tomorrow.

The left-arm seamer, who used to play for the Rajasthan Royals, took two wickets in last weekend’s abandoned match at Aston Rowant.

And skipper Barrett, who names an unchanged side, is hoping the 31-year-old can make his mark against Buckingham Town at the Jordan Hill Sports Ground.

He said: “We are really glad to have him on board.

“He offers us something a little bit different, we are hoping for impressive things from him.

"Hopefully he can produce some goods for us on Saturday.”

Aston Rowant welcome back all-rounders Sasha Barras and Leo Bethell for their trip to Gerrards Cross.

The duo replace Chris Eaton and Gordon Harris in the side.

Captain Josh Smith said: “Sasha and Leo are good options on the ball and it is probably the strongest side we have put out so far.”

Thame Town will be without captain Mike Higgs for their home match against Cookham Dean.

Matt Furness and Will Taylor are also unavailable so Sam Lachlan, Harry Thomas and Dan Patey come in.

Higgs said: “I am sure they will be fine without me,”
