GARETH Ainsworth is aiming to give Wycombe Wanderers supporters another memorable Kassam Stadium moment tomorrow.

The Chairboys have a good record away to Oxford United and won 2-1 last season when Danny Hylton missed a late penalty.

Although Wycombe’s hopes of reaching the Sky Bet League Two play-offs for the second successive season are now over, Ainsworth knows a win at United would see them finish on a high.

He told the Bucks Free Press: “There is a video on YouTube of last season at Oxford and it is a fantastic atmosphere.

“With the last minute Oxford penalty miss you can see the atmosphere and what it means to people.

“Derbies are what the fans love and they relish it.

“To give the fans something on the last day would be brilliant if we can and I am sure a few Wycombe fans would love to spoil the party.”

Wycombe have not won since Good Friday, but Ainsworth reckons an away win would help make amends.

He said: “Oxford have a really good squad and are a big side in the division, so we will work hard to get the win.

“It is important for the fans and I am sure we will be forgiven for this bad run if we can turn Oxford over.”
