HORATIO Hirst hit four goals as Oxfordshire Under 18s stormed to their first South & West Counties Junior Championship title with a 5-0 hammering of Somerset in the final at Paulton Rovers.

Hirst completed his hat-trick inside 31 minutes, opening the scoring after 17 minutes when he latched onto Jordy Ngathe’s through ball.

He made it two shortly after when Sami Khawaja picked him out 15 yards from goal, and he netted his third after another ball from Khawaja put him through one-on-one.

Captain Josh Gibbens headed home a corner right on the stroke of half-time to put Oxon four goals to the good at the break.

Six minutes into the second half, Hirst completed the scoring with a superb solo effort, beating two defenders and shooting home from the edge of the 18-yard box.

Oxon were rarely troubled for the remainder of the match as they eased to victory.
