HEAD of rugby Alan Hancock has described Oxford Harlequins’s season finale at home to local rivals Grove as his side’s biggest game of the season.

Quins are one match away from completing an unbeaten campaign at Marston Ferry Road in South West 1 East.

Hancock is determined to preserve their home record and beat Grove, who got the better of his side in last year’s Oxfordshire Cup final and the first game of this season.

“I am so nervous about the game, I am starting to get the jitters already,” he said.

“This is the biggest game for me this season, but there is no doubt we can deliver especially on our home turf.”

Hancock added: “We have been talking about it all season – fortress Marston Ferry Road.

“We want to keep that record and use it as a springboard for next year.”

Prop Pete Boulton returns at tight head, while Ramez Farahani switches to loose head.

Fotu Latu comes in at blindside flanker and Ollie Jenner starts at fly half.

Grove head into the match after confirming their safety last weekend.

Joe Chilvers replaces Sam Bond at scrum half and Archie van Dijk comes in for the injured Graeme Crapper.

Head coach Craig Burrows said: “There is no pressure going to Quins.

“We can go there and enjoy it and who knows? It could go either way.”

Fourth-placed Witney host Leighton Buzzard.

Relegated Henley travel to Cinderford for their penultimate game of the season in National League 1.

Julian Watkins starts at No 8, while in the backs James Comben and Louis Flynn return.

Chinnor visit Redingensians in National League 2 South.

Fly half Sam Angell faces a fitness test, while Jonathan Phipps is back in the squad after serving a suspension.
