CHINNOR Exiles pulled off a thrilling comeback to claim the Oxfordshire Sam Waters Sunday Cup with a 3-2 victory over Blackbird in the final at Oxford City’s Marsh Lane.
Exiles, beaten finalists last year, found themselves two down as Carl Bloomfield and Liam O’Callaghan struck early on for Blackbird.
Stuart Braun reduced the deficit just before half-time and a second-half double from John McMahon completed the comeback.
McMahon rounded the keeper to equalise, and won it in the 67th minute with a sublime lob as Exiles withstood heavy Blackbird pressure.
