CHRIS Allen insists Sam Slocombe will be determined to make amends if he is selected to face Morecambe today (3).
The United goalkeeper made two costly errors in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Mansfield Town in Sky Bet League Two.
Benji Buchel could take his place in the side, but assistant head coach Allen believes it would be a vote of confidence for Slocombe to start at the Globe Arena.
He said: “If Sam plays I am pretty sure he will look to make sure things like that don’t happen again.”
Ryan Taylor (groin) is United’s only absentee.
Morecambe are without Aaron McGowan (hamstring), while Shaun Beeley (thigh) and Laurence Wilson (knee) are doubts.
