MORECAMBE boss Jim Bentley insists the pressure is all on Oxford United tomorrow afternoon.
The U’s travel to the Globe Arena in Sky Bet League Two, looking to put Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw with Mansfield Town behind them.
Bentley’s side are 16th in the table and are hoping to arrest a winless run of five games.
The Shrimps boss has put the ball firmly in United’s court.
He told the Lancaster Guardian: “Oxford are going for it.
“The pressure is on them, they’re looking at the play-off places and who’s catching them.”
Bentley added: “They’re a big club who invested well in the summer.
“They had a ropey couple of seasons and were a little bit up and down, but this year Michael Appleton has been backed and has brought in good players.
“They’re in the automatic promotion places and that’s what they’ll be aiming for.
“They won’t be looking for the play-offs they’ll be looking for the top three.”
And Bentley is also a keen admirer of United’s top-scorer.
He continued: “They’ve got the likes of Kemar Roofe, who I’d regard as one of the best players in the division.
“It will be a very tough game.”
