Chinnor hope their fantastic 17-5 victory away to high-riding Old Albanians in National 2 South will turn their season around according to director of rugby Matt Williams.

“It will have a massive bearing on the remaining nine games,” said Williams. “It will give us the confidence to know that there’s nobody in the league we can’t beat.”

Injuries to lock Darren Oliver and centre Marcus Beer have forced Chinnor to make two change for their match at home to Canterbury, who sit four places and four points ahead of them.

The good news is that skipper James Tyas returns after injury to the back row, with Ben Manning switching to lock, while Jack Adams comes into the centre.

However, life doesn’t get any easier for Henley following their 48-16 thrashing by Hartpury.

The Hawks entertain National 1 leaders Richmond tomorrow as they seek to battle away from the relegation zone.

This season it has been impossible for Henley to field a settled team either through injury or the non-availability of players either through the demands of national selection or the dual registration with Premium League clubs Basil Strang at fly half returns after his top performance against Loughborough Students, but his half-back partner Connor Murphy is required by London Irish, so James Helliwell will start.

Oscar Hirskyj-Douglas, after a training game with England Sevens, will play at centre.

Hawks will be without Jack Willis, who has been selected for England under 20’s against Italy.

Further injury news involves the failure of Tom Hall to recover from his ankle ligament injury.

Also the Hawks will be without Jake Albon whose persistent shoulder problem will now keep him for the rest of the season.

RAF flanker Paul Bowen comes in against Richmond.

Oxford Harlequins face their toughest test when they travel to take on South West 1 East leaders Towcestrians.

Changes to the side that played two weeks ago see Pete Alston return to No 8, while Fotu Latu switches to blindside flanker and Angus Milton comes into the open side.

Huw Dimond moves to fly half from centre, with Freddie Exley taking the vacant centre spot. Ed Yeats moves to full back.

There’s good news for Grove as full back Huw Lewis returns after two months out with injury for their trip to High Wycombe.
