Striker Jimmy Deabill has rejoined Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division promotion hopefuls Kidlington from Wantage Town.

The striker, who had been with the Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West strugglers for less than two months after signing from Didcot Town, is unavailable for tomorrow’s league trip to Ardley United.

Deabill, who left Kidlington in 2011, is expected to be available for next weekend’s home clash with Royal Wootton Bassett Town and will assist in Kidlington’s Wembley quest in the FA Vase.

The Greens reached the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time with a 2-1 win over Cleethorpes Town last weekend and will travel to either Ipswich Wanderers or Bowers & Pitsea in the next round.

Winger Dan Gardner has also re-signed for Kidlington following a spell in the Falklands, but will feature this weekend in a reserve team match at home to Fairford Town Res, alongside defender Mark Flanagan, who is recovering from injury.

Ben Weedon and Ryan Brooks also miss out for the Greens through injury, while Ben Willoughby returns after being unavailable during the week due to work commitments.
