Abingdon United maintained their improved form to draw 1-1 at home to Thame United in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division on Saturday.
Boosted by their 5-1 destruction of Milton United last Monday, Abingdon took the lead after 12 minutes, when a Seth Humphries cross was met by George Reid whose shot curled into the far bottom far corner.
After being denied by Abingdon keeper Jack Griffiths’s fine save, Thame equalised on the half-hour as Tom Ashworth netted following a free-kick.
Conner Ingram fired just wide for the home side as play went end to end. before a run from Reid ended with him shooting too high.
Thame enjoyed greater territorial advantage in the second half and Ben Connolly was denied by Griffiths, while Calvin Evans dragged a shot just wide.
Abingdon looked dangerous on the break, but were unable to hit the winner in front a fair-sized crowd of 128.
