Romain Grosjean stormed up the field to finish ninth in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – his last race for the Enstone-based Lotus team.
Grosean, who joins the American-owned Haas team in 2016, moved up from 18th into the points.
His teammate Paston Maldonado was elminated after a first-lap incident for which Fernando Alonso was penalised.
The Williams team, from Grove, secured third place in the constructors championship, even though Felipe Massa and Valtteri Boss could only finish eighth and 13th respectively, in a race won by Nico Rosberg in his Mercedes.
Final drivers standings: 1 L Hamilton (Mercedes) 381, 2 2 N Rosberg (Mercedes) 322, 3 S Vettel (Ferrari) 278, 4 K Raikkonen (Ferrari) 150, 5 V Bottas (Williams) 136, 6 F Massa (Williams) 121, 11 R Grosjean (Lotus) 51, 14 P Maldonado (Lotus) 27.
