Jon Jukes became the most prolific singles champion in the 89-year history of the Greene King Oxford & District Darts Association.

The Cowley Workers hotshot claimed his seventh men’s singles crown when he defeated Steve Fisher (Peachcroft SC)2-0 at the ODDA’s Summer League finals night at Oxford Sports & Social Club Carol Harwood beat her Florence Park Community Centre teammate Angie Pointin 2-0 to to land the ladies’ singles title.

The men’s pairs went to the Challow RBL duo of Kevin Wilkins and Preben Krabben, who defeated Paul Bustin and Fred Parsons (Chequers Inn Challow) 2-0.

The Chequers pair were first to the double in the first leg thanks to a maximum from Bustin, but Krabben’s finishing proved the difference.

The ladies’ pairs crown was won by Denise Pape and Katrina Blackman (Corner House), who defeated two-time winners Paulette Guy and Hazel Prowton.

The men’s seven-a-side final saw Section 1 winners Kidlington Green SC B defeat Peachcroft 4-3.

Dave Fowler gave the Green Club the lead, but Peachcroft hit back through Jason Turner and Stephen Wilkes.

Green Club’s Joe Palmer and Neal Russell both won to give their side a narrow 3-2 advantage.

Peachcroft fought back to level at 3-3 thanks to Dan Smith before Sean Holly defeated Fisher in the deciding leg.

The ladies summer seven-a-side proved just as exciting, when Blackbird Bar defeated Premier champions Florence Park Community Centre A 4-3.

Clare Bywaters, Tina Hamilton and Jo Gleed gave Park a 3-1 lead, Blackbird’s Chris Thompson replying.

Blackbird snatched an upset win thanks to Sharon Thompson, Jayne Godfrey and Angie Turner.
