MICHAEL Appleton’s main selection headache for Oxford United tomorrow is how to replace Callum O’Dowda for the visit to Bristol Rovers.
The winger has been in excellent form, but is away with the Republic of Ireland Under 21s.
Appleton could move Kemar Roofe out wide, or switch Danny Rose from central midfield, but both choices risk disrupting partnerships elsewhere in the side.
The U’s boss said: “Callum’s going to be a big loss for us, because he’s in a good place at the minute.
“I want to make sure with the XI as well as the players on the bench I give myself as many options as I can.
“The 18 we pick will be crucial.”
Rovers could hand new signing Adam Drury a debut, while they wait on Elliott Harrison, who was in the Wales Under 21 squad in Luxembourg last night and is due to return today.
Defenders Daniel Leadbitter (hamstring) and Mark McChrystal (knee) are out.
TOMORROW'S SQUADS Bristol Rov: from Chapman, J Clarke, Lockyer, Parkes, Drury, Lines, Sinclair, O Clarke, Brown, Easter, Taylor, Harrison, Bodin, Monakana, Montano, Gosling, Mansell, Lyttle, Mildenhall.
