Mickey Thomas’s rapid knock saw Oxfordshire win a rain-affected clash with three balls to spare away to Staffordshire in the ECB 50+ County Championship.
His unbeaten 36 from 27 balls proved key as the visitors reached 153-8 to surpass a revised target due to bad weather at Caverswell.
It meant opener Rob Heath’s 106 was in vain for Staffordshire, who posted 262-9 from their 45 overs.
Darryl Woods was the pick of Oxfordshire’s attack, taking 4-35 from seven overs.

The county’s 2nd XI also tasted victory, beating Berkshire by six wickets.
