DIVISION 1 new boys Radley maintained their perfect start to the season with a double victory.

Wins over basement boys Chadlington and leaders Minster Lovell made it four victories out of four so far this campaign.

Against Chadlington, three wickets apiece for Ali Malik (3- 23) and Atif Liaqat (3-26) helped dismiss the visitors for 118, before Radley eased to 119-5.

Radley posted 166-8 at Minster Lovell, Billy Webb hitting 36 and Eddie Dunn taking 4-26.

The hosts subsided to 125 all out to suffer their first defeat.

Minster had edged out hosts Stonesfield by seven runs the previous day.

Nathan Harris’s 37 was the only major contribution as his side were shot out for 101 in the face of an excellent spell from Tom Gubbins (6-22).

But left-arm spinner Dunn then took 6-26 as Stonesfield collapsed to 94 all out in reply, Jamie Burns top-scoring with 37.

Shrivenham came away from Westbury with a five-wicket win.

The hosts racked up 222-8 as Tom Gurney hit 97, while Sanjay Chauhan took 4-55.

Conor Taylor (43), Will Snell (42), Robert Wycherley (38no) and Alex Bowles (34) led Shrivenham’s reply as they reached 223-5.

Chipping Norton went top of Division 2 after cruising to an eight-wicket victory at East & West Hendred.

Matthew Molyneux took 5-16 from 12 overs to help dismiss the hosts for 147, before Mark Usher (58) and Ian Widdows (31no) led Chippy to 148-2.

Faringdon slipped up at Marsh Gibbon, who edged to a two-wicket win.

The visitors were under pressure after being reduced to 7-3, before Ian Oglesby (51) and Dave James (30) led a mini-recovery.

But they could muster only 126-8 from their 45 overs.

The hosts were struggling at 87-8, but a partnership of 40 between Stuart Leonard (38no) and Matt Needham saw Marsh home with an over to spare.

Witney Swifts won a thriller at home to Wantage by 13 runs.

Alfie Saunders (39) and Kieran Foggett (30) led Swifts to 157 all out, Mike Konschel taking 4-36.

Left-arm spinner Graeme Woodward then starred with the ball, taking 5-47 as Wantage fell to 144 all out.

Rehman Ullah took a hat-trick in remarkable figures of 8-11 as Westcott thumped visitors Watlington by ten wickets in Division 3.

Rehman’s spell skittled out Watlington for a paltry 27, and Westcott cruised in without losing a wicket.

Wolvercote top the division, after crushing Fringford by 158 runs.

Nikunj Patel took 6-38 to help Tetsworth to a five-wicket win at Chesterton.

The home side were bowled out for 133, and then Tetsworth eased to 134-5, Narseh Sharma hitting 45.

DIVISIONS 4-5

ANDY Oliver smashed a magnificent century as Kidlington crushed visitors Deddington by 191 runs in Division 4.

Oliver (125) and Tom Bozman (85) shone in the sunshine at Stratfield Brake as Kidlington amassed 283-3.

Muhammad Usman then claimed 5-18 and Dan Farrant 4-16 as Deddington were all out for just 92.

The bowlers held sway on a green Uffington pitch as the hosts ran out five-wicket victors against Marcham.

The visitors were shot out for 78 as Martin Key took 6-27 and Joe Braham 4-19.

Amazingly, Marcham lost all ten wickets for 24 runs after an opening stand of 54, with Key taking 6-7 in his final six overs.

Uffington lost regular wickets in reply, but reached 79-5 to seal victory.

Duncan Macdonald and Darren Gordon shone for Kilkenny as they beat hosts Stanton Harcourt by 52 runs.

Macdonald hit 93 in Kilkenny’s 191 all out, and Gordon took 6-32 as Stanton were bowled out for 139.

Chris King led the way for Hailey with figures of 4-17 in his side’s 49-run win at home to Swinbrook.

Hailey posted 147 all out, before King took over to help dismiss the visitors for 98.

Britwell Salome saw off hosts Dorchester by five wickets.

After restricting Dorchester to 162-9, Andy Herrington’s 63 not out led Britwell to 165-5.

Sunningwell leapt three places to become the new Division 5 leaders with a 74-run win at home to Charlbury 2nd.

Robert Hussey (83no) and Thomas Harris (54) took Sunningwell to 206-6, and despite 48 from Dean WarnerCarter, Charlbury subsided to 132 all out.

Minster Lovell 2nd are second after a five-wicket home win against West Witney.

Zak Jarvis was the star of the show, taking 6-24 as West were rolled over for 94.

Jack Spencer-Matthews returned magnificent figures of 8-41 as Kennington saw off Garsington 2nd by 70 runs.

Hosts Kennington set 157-7, Graham Rowley top-scoring with 38.

Keith Parsler scored 55 in Garsington’s reply, but they had no answer to the superb spell from Spencer-Matthews, who led his side to a convincing victory.

Risinghurst defeated visitors Steventon by 44 runs.

Rakesh Nambiar hit 50 in Risinghurst’s 154-6, before Sayyid Irfan Shah took 4-19 in Steventon’s 110 all out.

DIVISION 6

WESTBURY 2nd were knocked off top spot in Division 6 as hosts Shrivenham 2nd picked up their first win of the season.

Richard Deacon took 6-24 as Westbury were bowled out for only 126, before a belligerent 77 not out from Adam Taylor saw Shrivenham home at 127-5.

Chipping Norton 2nd went top after a thrilling one-wicket win at home to Bampton.

The visitors were bowled out for 143, youngster Danny Molyneux taking 3-31.

Chippy edged in at 147-9, despite 6-43 from Russell King.

Great Horwood 2nd saw off hosts Faringdon 2nd by 29 runs.

Gary Lee (49) and Greg Saunders (40) saw Horwood reach 164-8, Simon Cornish taking 5-25.

Oliver Burton-Taylor hit 52 not out in Faringdon’s reply, but 4-35 from Haydon Morris restricted them to 135-9.

Brill were given a scare, before edging to a three-wicket win away to Hanney.

Dismissing their hosts for 118, Brill reached 121-7, thanks to 52 from Andy Wynd and 41 not out from Harry Wilson.

DIVISIONS 7-10

YOUNGSTER Ed Priest took 5-13 as Witney Swifts 2nd hammered hosts Chadlington 2nd by 158 runs in Division 8.

Grant Madden hit 85 in Swifts’ 207, before Priest took five wickets as Chadlington were dismissed for just 49.

Combe proved far too strong for visitors Ducklington in a six-wicket win.

Julian Chaundy’s 4-4 helped to skittle Ducklington for 54, Combe cruising to 58-4 in reply.

Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd stayed top with a six-wicket win at Minster Lovell 3rd.

Neil Spearman’s 61 helped Minster post 121 all out, but Omar Hussain (31no) and Mark Taylor (31) saw Wootton to 125-4.

Leaders Wolvercote 2nd slipped to their first defeat as hosts Tetsworth 2nd won by 76 runs in Division 7.

Hamid Abdul hit 56 and Reggie Isaac 42 in Tetsworth’s 172 all out, before Ayman Awan took 4-24 as Wolvercote were bowled out for 96.

In Division 9, Kilkenny moved up to second with an eight-wicket win at home to Dorchester 2nd.

Mike Ottrey hit 53 in Dorchester’s 108 all out, before Tom Clapham hit 47 as Kilkenny reached 111-2.

Eynsham 2nd thrashed visitors Sunningwell 2nd by ten wickets.

Britwell Salome 2nd stayed top of Division 10 following a 66-run win at home to Westcott 2nd.

Hassan Khurshi scored 71 in Britwell’s 190 all out, before Andy Worman took 4-31 as Westcott fell to 124 all out.

Youngster Ollie Roberts hit 84 to help Deddington 2nd beat visitors Kennington 2nd by 86 runs.
