Ryan Holmes’s superb free-kick enabled Henry Box (Witney) to celebrate a double as they added the Oxfordshire Under 14 Schools’ Cup to their West Oxfordshire League title.
His strike proved decisive in a 1-0 victory over Cherwell (Oxford) in the final at Oxford City.
It was sweet revenge for the Witney lads, who had been beaten by Cherwell in their county cup final last year.
Henry Box went closest to scoring in the first half with a Henry Marcucci header hitting the crossbar and Lewis Westwood and James Tudge both striking a post.

Henry Box made the breakthrough late in the second half when Holmes’s free-kick from 30 yards flew into the top corner.
Andrew Hunt made a series of superb saves to preserve their lead.
