Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith came home eighth in today's Spanish MotoGP in Jerez.
Smith, from the Monster Yamaha Tech3 team, crossed the line in 45mins 33.542secs.
His teammate, Pol Esparago was fifth in 45.23.866.
The race was won by Jorge Lorenzo, who led from start to finish in 44.57.246, ahead of second-placed Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi and Smith's fellow Brit Cal Crutchlow.
The result puts Smith seventh in the standings which are headed by Rossi.
