Didcot Town joint manager Ian Concannon is determined to finish the season in the highest possible position, even though a play-off place is beyond them.

The Railwaymen complete their Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West campaign away to Wimborne Town tomorrow.

Concannon said: “We want to finish with a win and finish it on a positive note.

“The teams below all have winnable games and if we lose we could finish as low as ninth or tenth.

“We’ve been up there all season, we’ve done really well and I think we deserve to finish higher than that.”

Defender and joint manager Jamie Heapy misses out (hamstring), while midfielder Andy Ballard is unavailable, but full back Matt Woodley returns to the squad.

Attention has already turned to next season at Wantage Town ahead of their final match away to promotionchasing Taunton Town.

Manager Daniel Barry said: “We’ve had a very difficult season, so it’s just about getting it finished and planning for the next one.”

Aaron Woodley and Morgan Williams return for North Leigh’s trip to Clevedon Town.
