Georgina Polden, from Oxford, ended a frustrating weekend at Brands Hatch with a brilliant eighth place finish in the second HEL Performance British Motostar Championship race, after starting from the back of the grid.
Despite qualifying 12th, the 18-year-old was unable to take part in Saturday’s first race due to technical difficulties.
However, on Sunday she bounced back in fine style, despite starting 36th.
After making up 11 places on the first lap, she picked her way through the field to finish eighth.
