Oxford's Jason Plato believes he can bounce back from a frustrating start to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship in round two at Donington Park tomorrow.
The VW driver took third place in the first race at the season’s opener at Brands Hatch, but then suffered a puncture when leading in race two and then finished 16th in day’s finale after experiencing steering problems.
Despite the disappointment, Plato was in upbeat mood.
“Those kind of weekends happen from time to time, but we’ve come away with the teams’ trophy, and we could have had so much more,” he said.
“We could have had three podiums, but we’re still in good spirits – we go to Donington Park confident of a good result.”
