Bradley Smith was the top Briton when finishing sixth in the Red Bull Grand Prix GP of the Americas in Austin, Texas, last night.
Starting tenth on the grid, the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider from Oxfordshire, moved through the field to come in ten seconds behind the winner and reigning world champion Marc Marquez, of Spain.
Italians Andrea Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi, who won the opening race at Qatar, were second and third.
Smith, who finished one place above fellow Brit Cal Crutchlow, moved up to sixth in the overall standings.
