A GIG held in honour of a young Glasgow couple who were killed on holiday has raised more than £500.
Martin Kelly, 26, a budding musician and Leeanne Connor, 25, a photographer, were on their first holiday abroad together when they were involved in a car crash whilst visiting relatives in Canada.
The devoted pair, who had just moved in together, died after the car in which they were travelling was hit by a lorry.
Leeanne was killed instantly and Martin died later in hospital from his injuries.
Friends of the tragic couple hosted an event at the Barfly in their memory - and the cash will now go towards a lasting memorial for the pair.
The city centre party saw Martin's former band Breakpoint play their last gig.
Supported by fellow Glasgow acts the Galliano, the Scruffs and Carlton Jug Band, Breakpoint played an emotional set to more than 300 of Martin and Leeanne's family and friends.
Fellow Breakpoint guitarist Stephen McLaughlin, 23, said: "We were really pleased at how many people turned out for the gig and we raised more money than we thought we would.
"I'm sure Martin and Leeanne would both have loved the show and it was a great night held in their honour."
