TERRY BUTCHER, the Motherwell manager, insists no contract has yet been offered to the former Partick Thistle co-manager, Gerry Britton.
"I know what it is like when you get paid off, you end up sitting about the house and getting on the wife's nerves.
"Therefore, I thought it would be a good gesture to offer Gerry the opportunity to get his match fitness back and also do some rehab work with [physio] John Porteous.
"If Gerry impresses, we may look at what he can offer but we haven't even spoken about that to date."
