WEST Oxford Democrats Club are through to the final of the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford League’s Gracie J’s Cup final after a 3-2 win against Masons, writes PETE EWINS.
John Patey was the hero, winning the deciding fifth leg of the semi-final clash.
Bob Parsons put Democrats in front in the match held at the Gladiators Club, before Lewis Stratford (7,400) hit back to level.
Dave Rose then put Masons 2-1 up with a win over Eddie Tebby, but successes for Billy Hill and Patey (7,970) saw Democrats through.
Kennington Club will be their final opponents after they beat Vikings 3-2 at the Masons.
Kevin Godfrey defeated Bob Allsworth in the deciding match to book their place in the final.
