Winning swims from Megan Ebbs, Adam Webster, Pavel Assenov, Ben George, Adela Wilson and Matthew Wilson secured second place by one point.

They finished just ten points behind gala winners Linslade Crusaders.

Twelve-year-old Steffi Jinks set a personal best time on her way to victory in the 50m butterfly.

Lauren Mellings also recorded a personal best as she finished second in the age 14 and under 50m butterfly.

Meanwhile, Kidlington & Gosford finished fifth in their Chiltern League second round gala at Bletchley.

They secured four first places with consistent display.

These victories came from Jamie Ward (100m breaststroke), Owen Blackford (100m individual medley), the open girls’ medley team of Chelsea Beahan, Jess Stowell, Caitlin Brown and Jaimie Morris and the girls’ open freestyle team, with Katie Parsons replacing Morris.

Numerous personal best times were recorded for Kidlington by Blackford, Jess Stowell, Jack McManus, Jamie Ward, Lucy Stowell, Brown, Jeremy Agha, Oscar Gibson, Ollie Northwood, Parsons, Daniel Ward and Niamh Secole.
