Oxfordshire's Nic Batten was runner-up in the boys’ singles when the county hosted the successful Badminton England Under 17 tournament at Radley College.
Batten, from Letcombe Regis, lost 21-16 to Surrey’s Benjamin Hudson in the final to claim the silver medal.
Safia Khimji, of Didcot, achieved the same result in the girls singles, finally losing 21-16 in the final to Juliet Chee, from Surrey.
There was a local success in the girls doubles, as Megan Ready (Long Wittenham) and Kezia Lawson (Benson) won the all-Oxfordshire final 21-11 against Louise Atkins (Drayton) and Natalia Mitchell (Woodstock), who had to settle for silver.
