Leading tryscorer Reuben Haile is left out as Chinnor visit Old Elthamians in National 2 South tomorrow.

Recent signing Ashley Smith takes over from Haile on the left wing for the the trip to Chislehurst in Kent, with Robbie Martey given an opportunity on the right.

Director of rugby Matt Williams said of Haile: “He needs a rest and I am rotating.

“Ashley Smith has been playing on the right wing and I need to give him a chance to play in his rightful position.

His return to the squad for the first time since suffering a groin injury in the win at Shelford in December is a big boost for Williams.

“He is a massive player for me, so it’s great to have him back,” added Williams, who has challenged his team to equal the club’s previous highest finish of fifth.

Skipper Dave Clements starts leaders Henley Hawks’ promotion battle at third-placed Taunton Titans (3).

Clements, who came on after an hour of Hawks’ 39-24 home win over Canterbury last week, will play alongside Matt Payne in the second row.
