James Roberts will be among the Oxford United players looking to press their claims for a first-team place when they play Easington Sports tonight.
The Oxfordshire Senior Cup quarter-final tie between the two clubs is being held at Abingdon United’s Northcourt Road (7.30).
Roberts has been a substitute for the last five games in Sky Bet League Two, but a good display could see him promoted for this weekend’s crunch clash with Mansfield Town at the Kassam Stadium.
Goalkeeper Max Crocombe and defenders Chey Dunkley, Sam Long and Jon Meades are also in the squad.
New signing Jeremy Balmy is likely to make his first appearance in what will otherwise be a young line-up.
Latest United news:
Promotion-chasing Easington have won their last three matches and will be hoping to emulate Kidlington by becoming the second Hellenic League side to take United’s scalp in successive seasons.
Elsewhere, defending champions Ardley United host Oxford City Nomads in an all-Hellenic Premier Division clash.
