Oxford Hawks resumed the Women’s Conference West season with a 1-0 defeat to Isca University in Exeter.
The winning goal came when Isca broke upfield and netted past keeper Ria Male.
At the other end, only a great save denied Kara Haine.
Pacesetters Witney had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Wycombe in South Clubs League Division 3A.
The visitors took the lead through Lucy Reading from the penalty spot after Robyn Coburn had been brought down.
Wycombe hit back to equalise shortly after half-time.
Bicester twice led Oxford 2nd twice through Sheryl Philpotts and Paula Burgess, but ended up losing 3-2 in their Trysports Premier Division 1 contest.
Oxford’s winner came three minutes from time.
