GIORGIA Laird’s late winner gave Oxford City a 4-3 home victory over Kidlington in the Oxford Mail Girls’ League Under 14 League Cup.

Kidlington had led three times in the match thanks to goals from Eva Wallace, Pippa Oakes and Bella Gifford.

However, Annie Mundy, Emma Parker and Holly Hunter levelled each time for City, before Laird struck five minutes from time to seize the win for the home side.

Under 16 League leaders Kidlington got revenge on a Didcot Casuals side who inflicted their only league defeat this season, with a comfortable 5-0 home victory.

Blanche Mayo scored twice and there were also goals for Maddy Shannon, Casey Brennan and Frankie Hamby.

Bardwell were beaten 12-0 at home to a Swindon Town side playing their first match following the death of goalkeeper Rhiannon Brown.

The visitors dominated, with four goals from Sophie Boycott, a Lauren Abery hat-trick, a brace each for Meghan Larkin and Kathryn Bach and another goal from Kayane CastroAlencar.

Rachel Appleton hit a hattrick for Stonesfield Strikers in their 4-0 Under 12 Blue League victory at Kidlington.

The visitors led 3-0 at the break courtesy of two goals from Appleton and a third from Emma Saville, with Appleton completing her treble late in the game.

A four-timer from Sadie Timbs helped Abingdon Youth to a 5-3 victory at Wantage Town in the League Cup.

Lily May was also on target for the visitors, while two goals from Ella Seijido and a third from Olivia Clifford were ultimately mere consolation for Wantage.

Also in the League Cup, Tower Hill Vixens beat Barton 5-1.

In the Under 11 League, Charlbury were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Oxford City.

The visitors took the lead early in the second half through Victoria Traff, but Annabel Jenkins equalised soon after with a superb solo effort.
