DAN Wyatt hit four 180s as Marlborough Club beat Kidlington Green Social Club 7-2 in the Greene King ODDA Winter League.

Wyatt’s sensational display in the Premier & Section 1 clash saw him beat Stephen Wright to help his side record an emphatic success.

The match saw eight maximums in total, half of which came from Wyatt.

Another high-scoring encounter saw Section 1 side Cowley Workers Club beat top-flight Peachcroft Social Club 6-3.

Aaran Stevens, Pete Hall, Jon Jukes and Phil Cook all hit 180s to wrap up victory for Cowley after the singles.

Section 2 side Chequers Inn A kept their unbeaten record with a 6-3 win over Donnington Community Centre.

Paul Bustin, Alan Eckart, Steve Coling and Andy Jones won their singles matches for Chequers, before a 2-1 win in the pairs ensured victory.

Leaders Corner House made it seven wins from eight games when they won 6-3 at Village Inn.

Richard Reveley, Trevor Ballard, James Harding and Mick O’Leary were on form with successes in their singles matches.

AJ Stockford and John King did their best for Village Inn, but despite winning their individual matches and then teaming up to claim a pairs’ triumph, their side fell short.

Vikings Social Club started their Section 3 match at Marston British Legion in fine style, when wins from Sean Pollard (180) and Chris Pollard gave them a 2-0 lead.

A thrilling clash saw the hosts hit back to level courtesy of victories from Rick Warden and Kevin Dale.

Vikings regained the advantage with a brilliant win from Paul Weller over John Dale – Weller hitting the week’s top finish of 160 to take victory.

Mick Hutt (180) levelled when he beat Kevin Masterson, and in a tight finish Legion earned a 5-4 win with a 2-1 pairs success.

In Ladies Section 1, Crown Inn recorded their first win of the season after a superb 7-2 victory at Florence Park Community Centre B.

The visitors’ Sam Moore beat Jackie Merritt in the opener, but Florence Park levelled through Keeley Rush.

However, Crown then took control.

Wins from Carol Gasser, Katie Moore, Phil Smith, and a fine first success from 14-year-old Lucy Moore, who defeated the previously-unbeaten Carol Bowman with an 84 checkout, made it 5-1.

A 2-1 pairs win sealed a morale-boosting success.
