CHALGROVE made it back-to-back Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division victories with a hard-fought 4-2 win at bottom-of-the-league Bletchingdon.

Goals from Simon Godfrey and Nick Skiller put the visitors two goals up at the break, but the hosts levelled early in the second half thanks to a Jamie Wilkins penalty and a volley from Daniel Barrett.

Chalgrove reasserted control and retook the lead as Skiller got his second, before substitute Tim Cox wrapped it up in the final minute.

Marston Saints beat struggling Freeland 3-1 at home, taking a first-half lead through Elliot Powell and doubling it after the break when Josh Mulvany weaved through.

Gary Brooks pulled one back for Freeland with a superb finish from the edge of the box, but Saints killed the game off with three minutes to go when 17-year-old Jacob Drewitt scored his first senior goal.

Oxford University Press were beaten 3-1 at home to unbeaten Oakley United.

James Keeble and Sean Coles put the visitors early in control with two goals in quick succession, but Jimmy Gray gave the hosts some hope at half-time when he tapped in on the rebound after Oakley keeper Ben Clarke spilled Neil Lockhart's shot.

Despite a battling second-half performance, OUP were unable to stop title-chasing Oakley's advance and they put the game beyond the home side in the 75th minute when Tom Grant fired home.

Kidlington Old Boys closed the gap at the top of Division 1 to one point with a 2-0 home victory over Marston Saints Res.

Neither side were able to make a breakthrough during a scrappy first half, but after the break it was Old Boys who gained the upper hand.

Nicky Middleton fired them into the lead within five minutes of the restart and Tom Dale doubled the advantage minutes later on the rebound after Johnny Richards' effort came back off an upright.

Stephen Litten fired in a hat-trick as Yarnton Res narrowly edged a thrilling Division 2 match 4-3 at home to Garsington Res.

James Brazier gave the hosts a 1-0 half-time lead, but Connor Foley equalised for Garsington after a great through ball from James Manning.

Litten then fired in a quickfire treble to put Yarnton firmly in control and although the visitors hit back again through Ben Weitzel and James Manning they left it too late to find another leveller.

Broughton & North Newington Res were comfortable 4-1 winners at strugglers North Oxford Res.

Paddy Gave, Ian Keen, Alex Millar and James Smith all netted for the visitors, with Carl Simone heading home the consolation for the hosts.
