It saw the Railwaymen go down to their second defeat in a row following Tuesday’s loss at AFC Totton, which was their first league loss in 17 games.

Carnell was sent off in the first half after being adjudged to have kicked out at Tyler Sibbick, despite the Didcot captain appearing to be fouled by the Larkhall striker.

Sibbick gave the hosts an early lead however John Mills leveled the scores from th e penalty spot when Josh Dutton-Black was fouled by Larkhall keeper Alex Shaftoe.

Despite losing their captain, Didcot put pressure on the hosts and Ryan Brooks had a couple of chances to take the lead, however they went wide.

The hosts capitalised on the missed chances after the break, Ross Lye’s strike was deflected past James Foster in the Didcot goal.

With ten minutes to go, Ryan Brooks’s fine strike beat the stranded Shaftoe to level.

However Didcot just couldn’t hang on as two minutes laterJoe Tomelty tapped home after the visitors failed to clear.

It was a result which Didcot didn’t deserve, despite down to ten men.
