OXFORD United’s hosts tomorrow are seeking some overdue momentum at home after beating Bury 1-0 last weekend.

No team in Sky Bet League Two has lost more in front of their own fans this season than Dagenham & Redbridge, with eight defeats from their 12 games.

But the win over promotion hopefuls Bury came hot on the heels of a goalless draw away to another high-flying side, Southend United.

Daggers boss Wayne Burnett will not take United lightly, but senses an opportunity to build on solid foundations.

  • Latest United news:

He said: “We know our home form hasn’t been great, but at the weekend we played probably the best team in the league, alongside Shrewsbury, and we beat them.

“Every match is different and no game is easy, but we have played against Oxford before so we know what they are about.

“We have to try and change the fortune that we have had at home and we will try to do that by achieving another positive result on Saturday.

“We have two clean sheets in a row and that is something we have to look to build on.”

The sides drew 3-3 at the Kassam Stadium in August.

Alex Jakubiak, on loan from Watford, opened the scoring for United, but could line up against them tomorrow after joining the Daggers in November.
