Coneygree soars over the last fence
Coneygree (100-30) gave Mark Bradstock’s Letcombe Bassett stables, near Wantage, a first Grade 1 success with a runaway victory in the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Kempton yesterday.
With his leading rivals crashing out, Nico de Boinville’s mount sauntered home 40 lengths clear of Warden Hill.
Bradstock said: “He has always shown us a hell of a lot, and he has jumped them into the ground.”
BLETCHINGDON-BASED jockey Dougie Costello landed the Grade 3 William Hill Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase at Wetherby on Dolatulo (14-1).
