Substitute Chris Mortimore made a sparkling debut for Oxfordshire Under 14s with a brace in a 5-2 win over Berkshire in the South West Counties League at Milton United.

Oxon fell behind after ten minutes when Teoman Atik raced through to score.

Coming on after 20 minutes, Mortimore made an immediate impact by crossing for James Stewart to equalise.

Mortimore put Oxon ahead in the second half, before having a shot parried by the Berkshire keeper, with Jack Earl following up to score.

A second from Mortimore plus Luke Elliott’s shot into the top corner from 30 yards made it 5-1, with Charlie Scott pulling one back.

Meanwhile, Vale of White Horse’s ESFA Under 15 PlayStation Inter Association Trophy quarter-final against Hereford & District is to take place at Milton United on Saturday, January 10 (11am).
