Didcot Town extended their unbeaten run in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West to 14 matches, but only after coming back two goals down at home to draw 2-2 with ten-man Bridgwater on Saturday.

The visitors hung on for a point after having Kyle Tooze sent off in the 15th minute.

Despite this, Bridgwater took the lead in the 36th minute when Joe Bushin capitalised on a defensive mix-up between keeper James Foster and Luke Carnell.

Four minutes later it was 2-0 when Tom Knighton headed in from a corner.

Josh Dutton-Black got a goal for Didcot just before half-time as he controlled Sam Elkins’s pass and lobbed Bridgwater keeper Ben John.

After the break, Didcot pushed for the equaliser and went close when John Mills had a shot blocked off the line.

Minutes later, Carnell made it 2-2 heading home from an Elkins corner.

Carnell thought he'd given the hosts the lead before his 30-yard thunderbolt was superbly stopped by John The central defender was the biggest threat to Bridgwater and he then had a header cleared off the line by Scott Thomas.

Didcot could not make their extra man tell, though it needed another great save from John to deny Pablo Haysham late on.
