North Leigh boss Mark Gee admitted he is ‘wary’ of struggling Wantage Town as his side travel to Alfredian Park in Division 1 South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League tomorrow, writes Matthew Bruce.

The home side are yet to win under new manager Daniel Barry, but Gee is taking nothing for granted.

He said: “Their performances have improved a lot lately and since their new management have arrived they’ve had an influx of new players which has changed things slightly.

“They have a lot of local lads, so we know them and they know us and we’re wary of them. We will treat this one as if they are top of the league.”

Meanwhile, Barry has urged his side to take their chances following a dismal run which has seen them score just once in their last eight games.

“When we are on top of games it’s vital we take our chances and get ourselves ahead in the game,” he said.

Wantage will be without Adam Lovegrove (suspended), Karl Roberts (work commitments) and Tai Hulbert-Thomas (unavailable), while Stuart Hole (honeymoon) is the only absentee for the visitors.
