Horley CC, fresh from their success at the Cherwell League presentation night, have further reason to celebrate.

The north Oxfordshire club, who were presented with the Peter Baker Trophy by former England captain Michael Vaughan as the club whose 1st and 2nd XI accumulated the most aggregate points, have now achieved Clubmark status.

Clubmark is an ECB and Sport England mark of a high quality cricket club for juniors and adults and the community.

Horley chairman David Beck said: “The club is making excellent strides both on and off the field.

“We have started the process to replace our pavilion and we believe having the Clubmark accreditation will help us tremendously in achieving our on and off-field aims.”
