Exciting teenage prospect Jordan Flynn-Dhanjal has returned to his roots by rejoining Berinsfield BC.

The 18-year-old, a dual national ABA junior champion in 2009 and 2011, started his career with the Oxfordshire club, before moving to Repton BC.

But after finding the travelling to the London-based club too much the light welterweight has returned to his old surroundings.

Flynn-Dhanjal will be back in action for the club on their show at Berinsfield Social Club on Sunday, December 7 (12 noon) in his first senior bout over three three-minute rounds.

Berinsfield coach Mel Corrigan was delighted to take his protege back under his wing.

“He was with me as a schoolboy and won a national title, and silver in the three nations, and lost a second title on a split decision and then left and decided to go to Repton,” he said.

“He won another schoolboy title with Repton and got into two more finals, but found it was a lot of travelling up there and he was not getting anywhere.

“We are his old club and have always been there for him.”

Admission for next Sunday’s show is £10 on the door for adults, and £5 for OAPS and under 15s.
