Cowley Internationals celebrated a stellar season at the Oxfordshire Cricket Association's annual presentation night at Drayton Park Golf Club.

They swept all before them in 2014 to record a fabulous four-timer with their first team being crowned Division 1 champions as well as lifting the Airey Cup and Tony Pullinger Twenty20 Cup, while the second side won Division 8.

To add to their success, talented batsman Mursaleen Sadiqi was named as the George Panting (under 21s) young player of the year.

Radley lifted the Division 2 trophy with captain Matt Launchbury receiving the Hawthorn award as the top batsman with 639 runs, while teammate Richard Cook collected the Boyd Maunsell award for bowling with 48 wickets.

It was also a big night for Hanborough, whose first team picked up the Division 4 trophy, while their second XI won the Osberton Radiators Cup .

The club also picked up the Morris Honey award for the most improved ground.

Former New Zealand captain Jeremy Coney entertained a crowd of around 150 with an amusing speech, while a collection in aid of the fight against prostate cancer raised £500.

THE OCA’s annual meeting is at Kidlington next Thursday (7.30) when Chalgrove are set to be formally re-elected after dropping out two years ago.
