SURVIVAL is vital for Aston Rowant who have a day of destiny at Tring Park in Division 1 tomorrow.

That is the message from batsman Chris Watling, who replaces Dan Matthews (unavailable), with Rowant needing to win to be sure of staying up.

“It was upsetting not to get over the line against Henley last week, but we did a lot of things well,” said Watling.

“We are confident we can beat Tring.

“We all want to stay in this league, it's very important for the club.”

If they don’t win, Rowant will hope fellow Oxfordshire clubs Oxford and Banbury can do them favours away to Gerrards Cross and at home to Harefield respectively.

Alex Davies replaces Andrew Clough (unavailable) for Oxford.

For Banbury, Liam Manley and Richard West come in for Dean Bartlett (finger) and Ian Tew, whose girlfriend is due to give birth.
