WOMEN'S FOOTBALL: Oxford's women face fitness tests

7:00am Saturday 12th July 2014

Captain Sahara Osborne-Ricketts and striker Lauren Allison are both doubtful for Oxford United Women’s trip to Aston Villa in the Continental Cup tomorrow (2pm).

Both players will undergo fitness tests before the game, which will be Oxford’s last in the competition, but U's manager Les Taylor remains confident of finishing on a high.

He said: “Even though it’s the Continental Cup we always want to get a win, the girls are playing really well and confidence is high, so we’ll go there looking to get a result.”

Oxford Utd: from Lambourne, Mobbs, Hines, Osborne-Ricketts, Chivers, Allison, Pinker, Low, King, Nutman, Connor-Iommi, Lane, Cox, Franklin-Fraiture, Nichol, Stanley, Fellows, Alexander, Pickett, Mobbs.
