Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith clinched fifth place in yesterday’s first practice session ahead of Sunday’s Dutch Grand Prix at Assen.

The Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider was only 0.385 secs behind teammate, Pol Espargaro, who was first.

“Overall I am very pleased,” said Smith.
