Aston Rowant made short work of visitors Gerrards Cross, winning the Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League Division 1 game by seven wickets, after chasing down 134 for victory.
Having won the toss on a pitch with a green tinge, Rowant made the wise decision to bowl first.
It paid off as Gerrards Cross struggled to get going against excellent opening spells from Karl Penhale and Wes Morrick, both of whom took three wickets Gerrards Cross were 64-7 at one point, but the pitch flattened out.
Steve Rimmer and Jamie Hoddle, son of ex-England football manager Glenn, added 55 run before Adam Muttitt mopped up the tail.
Rowant made steady work of the chase, Tim Morgan again leading the way with 42, before Chris Watling (31no) saw them home.
This result made up for Rowant's failure to secure victory over Banbury the previous week.
