Aston Rowant are out to kickstart their season at home to Oxford in tomorrow’s Division 1 derby in the Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League.
Rowant have yet to win this campaign and were left to rue a collapse in last week’s defeat at Burnham.
“It doesn’t really feel like we have actually got going,” said batsman Chris Watling, whose side have also had two matches abandoned.
“But we want to win our last limited overs match to get our season back on track.”
Watling, wicket-keeper Thad Cooper and bowlers Gordon Harris and Archie Leon return.
But Damian Shirazi, Josh Smith, Leo Bethell and Miles Hammond are all unavailable.
Chris Leaney is on standy should Harris fail a fitness test.
Strike bowler Stuart Hole is unavailable for Oxford, while seamer Brad Sutherland and spinner Ian Evans come into a squad of 12.
Skipper Ian Crosby said: “It will be a good game, these derbies always are.
“It’s a good opportunity to put right what went wrong against Slough last week.”
Leaders Banbury, who visit Slough, have named the same XI that were due to play in last week’s abandoned clash with High Wycombe.
Captain Jimmy Phillips said: “Slough have had a lot of trouble with drainage as well.
“Fingers crossed, we can get the game on and keep up our winning run.”
Great & Little Tew will go top of Division 2 if they win at Reading.
“We have started strongly in the last few weeks,” said skipper Andy Harris. “The challenge will be to try to keep this momentum going into the longer games.”
Batsman Robbie Catling and spinner Ian Bryan replace the unavailable Ashley Hubbert and Matt Clark, who drops to the seconds.
Paceman Jamil Faruq makes his debut as Horspath host Dinton.
The ex-East Oxford and Kidlington man comes in alongside Adam Krol, with Jehan Mohammed (unavailable) and Mohsin Rana dropping out.
“Milly just adds a bit of pace, which we need,” said captain Will Eason.
“He has been working really hard and doing a lot of running to get himself fit.”
Ian Lewis, Graham Newhook and Jeremy Kirby return for basement boys Shipton-under-Wychwood’s trip to Finchampstead.
Joe Barrett and Calvin Dickinson have school commitments, while Craig Wood is at a wedding.
Skipper Simon Hole said: “We really want to get that first win. The forecast isn’t particularly great, but we need to start batting properly.”
