In a re-run of the 2013 final, defending champions Shrivenham marched into the quarter-finals of the Airey Cup after squeezing past fellow Division 1 outfit, Minster Lovell.

Shot out by the hosts for just 119, with Elliot Graham grabbing 5-36, Shrivenham dismissed their opponents for 97, Conor Taylor the principal destroyer with 4-18.

The 22-run win puts them through to play Cowley Internationals.

The east Oxford team visited Faringdon, who made 190-8, Ian Oglesby top-scoring with 60.

Despite Jack Tomes (6-71) enjoying success, 56 from Asif Shah and 45 from Haggi Sadiqi enabled Cowley to edge home by two wickets.

East & West Hendred will meet Radley in the next round following comfortable victories.

Hendred amassed 211-8 before Martin Turnbull (5-12) led the way as Charlbury were demolished for just 55.

Mark Baring (3-12), who had earlier hit 48, also starred in the 156-run victory.

Radley were similarly untroubled, as Rustum Rabani (4-11) and Atif Liaquat (3-11) skittled Watlington for 45 and just 13 overs later, progress was secured with just two wickets down.

Division 2 pacesetters Stonesfield successfully negotiated their way past Hook Norton from the league above.

Sam Hibbard (5-28) hit form as Hooky stuttered to 126.

Then, 40 from Andy Crawford and 36 from Jamie Burns earned Stonesfield a seven-wicket win and a place in the last eight.

They will face Garsington, who progressed courtesy of a 21-run defeat of Combe.

Finishing on 87-9 in a rain-reduced contest, 5-27 from Ywai Williams then steered the south Oxford side to their slender victory.

Great Horwood also booked their spot in the quarters after emphatically beating Broughton & North Newington.

Adam Armitage’s 4-12 helped rout the opposition for 46, before Horwood got home with eight wickets in hand.

Westbury completed the line-up after they beat Oxenford by 45 runs at home.

The hosts were restricted to 157 all out, Umar Rafi taking 5-14.

In reply, Oxenford could muster only 112, with Graham Judd the pick of Westbury’s bowlers with 5-26.

Hanborough pipped Kidlington by just four runs in their Telegraph Cup first-round clash.

Matthew Nielsen’s 40 got his Hanborough unit up to 158-8.

Despite 65 from Andy Oliver, the Kidlington response fell agonisingly short on 154-7.

Westcott’s game was a complete contrast, winning by 272 runs.

Piling on 356-7 with Rehman Ullah top-scoring on 84, they compounded Charlbury 2nd’s misery by bowling them out for the same score – 84.

Wantage are also through, thanks to the Martin clan.

Ryan smacked an unbeaten 54 and Barry 40 in their side’s 181-9, before Barry (4-11) struck with the ball as Swinbrook were 82 all out, 99 runs adrift.

A half-century from Jason Seacole (50) propelled Witney Swifts to a 75 run victory at home to Chesterton.

Replying to 202-9, the guests only managed 127, Graeme Woodward bagging 4-37.

Swifts face neighbours Hailey who overcame Deddington, despite only posting 115.

However, Chris King’s 5-16 and Andy Green’s 4-21 allowed Hailey to chalk up a 66-run win.

In another low-scoring affair, Marsh Gibbon won by 47 runs despite only making 125 at Marcham.

But it was more than enough as the hosts were all out for 78, Tom Leonard taking 4-12.

Cairns Fudge pipped Eynsham by two wickets.

In an entertaining contest, the visitors were all out for 133 with Jimmy Rossitor contributing 41.

Martin Hanscombe waded in for the hosts with 5-40.

James Halfhead (35) helped Fudge to 134-8.

In a thrilling Steve Dixon Cup first-round tie at West Witney, the home side batted first but struggled to 104 all out.

Opener Omar Tariq carried his bat for 51, while Westbury 2nd’s Harry Rymer took 5-14.

Despite 50 from Michael Markham, Westbury stuttered in response, but eventually prevailed by one wicket, with Rymer hitting the winning runs.

Faringdon 2nd also des-patched opponents from a higher division.

Given first use of the strip, 51 from Pierce Batchelor guided Faringdon to 168-9.

Then, three wickets apiece for Richard Marlow (3-38) and Andy Liddiard (3-31) restricted Dorchester to 132, 36 runs short.

Darren Gordon again starred for Kilkenny.

Having clobbered 69 of his side’s 145 against Sunningwell, he then grabbed 4-18 as Kilkenny took the honours by 29 runs.

Cowley Internationals 2nd emulated their first XI by also registering a two-wicket success in the second round of the Osberton Radiators Cup.

Limiting East & West Hendred 2nd to 143-8, Aizaz Khan’s unbeaten 32 saw his side home with ten overs remaining.

Kidlington experienced a particularly bad day, as all three of their sides were eliminated from their respective cup competitions.

In this competition, Brill’s Darren Kavanagh (4-12) and Ben Jackson (4-37) routed the Kidlington batters for 110, before Andy Parke’s 54 guided the hosts to a routine seven-wicket win.

Bampton’s Simon Launder took 4-28 as Witney Swifts 2nd plodded their way to 84-8 from 45 overs.

Richard Pitt then rattled off an undefeated 50 to register a comfortable seven-wicket success.

Amidst bowler-friendly conditions, Peter Whitlock maintained his fine run of form with 39 of Chesterton 2nd’s 114 all out in the Keith Crump Centenary Cup first-round.

Steve Gray was then the principal architect of Westcott 2nd’s demise, taking 4-21 as the opposition were limited to just 90 to lose by 24 runs.

Joining Chesterton in the quarter-finals are Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd after Dan Parker’s 6-16 helped them to bowl out Kidlington 3rd for just 71.

In a tense finish, Wootton reached their target with only three wickets in hand.

In one of the few league matches played, Radley 2nd thrashed West Ilsley 2nd in Division 8.

Radley compiled 145-7, with Bobby Bowerman hitting 44.

Richard Cook (5-24) and Sanjay Mistry (4-30) condemned West Ilsley to 55 all out and a 90-run defeat.
