HORSPATH captain Will Eason admitted his side will be without a key player due to Patrick Foster’s absence at Great & Little Tew tomorrow.

The seamer, who Eason feels has been in great form, is away on a stag weekend, so misses the Division 2 clash.

“Patrick will be a massive miss,” said Eason. “He is bowling as well as I have seen anyone bowl in club cricket.

“He has been superb and looks like getting a wicket with every ball.”

Spinner Adam Krol is also unavailable, so Andy Wynd and Mohson Rana return.

Josh Garrett joins younger brother Jordan in the Tew squad, while spinner Ian Bryan is an injury concern.

“It doesn’t really feel like the season has started yet,” said skipper Andy Harris, who is frustrated by the wet weather.

St Edward’s School wicket-keeper batsman Calvin Dickinson makes his Shipton-under-Wychwood debut at home to Amersham.

Dickinson is one of three changes from the last league game, with brothers Ross and Joe Barrett also coming in.

Jeremy Kirby, Jason Hunt and Graham Newhook miss out.

Captain Simon Hole said: “Calvin is quite a handy player and will be a good acquisition.”
