WANTAGE Town A kept the pressure on North Berks League Division 2 leaders Abingdon United Res with a 3-0 win at East Hendred, writes Phil Annets.

Jamie Wilkins, with two, and Jared Jones were the Wantage scorers.

Danny Curran and Ryan Seamark also scored twice each for Drayton in their 5-2 home win over Saxton Rovers Res.

Harry Routledge added their fifth, while Tom Stanley and Dean Maycock netted for the visitors.

Shane Butlin (2) and Andrew Cooper scored for Steventon in their final game – a 3-1 home win over Coleshill United, for whom Lee Mason netted.

Jason Evans netted a double as Faringdon Town Res won 4-2 at Radley.

James Tyler and Dan Oyston were also on the scoresheet for Faringdon, with William Wright and Brodie Edmunds scoring in vain for Radley.

Faringdon Town lost 4-0 at Kintbury Rangers in Division 1, a result which leaves the victors just one success away from clinching the top title for the first time in ten years.

Charlie Allsop and Shaun Thorp bagged a brace apiece in the win.

Westminster inflicted a first defeat of the season on Division 3 leaders Burghclere, whose championship ambitions are on ice.

Josh Bourton scored the only goal of the game for last week’s War Memorial Cup winners.

Strikes from Matt Woodside, Grant Harris, Neil Pimm, Joe Richardson and James Carlini gave Hanney United a 5-2 home win over bottom side Milton United Res, who scored via Darryl Potter and Luke Archer.

Kennington Athletic were on the receiving end as Division 4 champions Turnpike Sports rounded off their successful season with a 9-0 home win.

Mark Davies found the net five times, Luke Johnson hit a hat-trick and Tom Hitchcock also scored.

East Hendred Res signed off with a 6-3 home loss against Berinsfield Res.

Jason McDowell, Craig Tizzard and Aiden Necchi-Ghiri scored for Hendred.

But a hat-trick for Charlie Jamieson and goals from Jack Hastings, Jon Welch and Dan Osbourne won the match for Berinsfield.

Sam Watson hammered a treble for Long Wittenham Athletic Res in their 5-1 home win over Hagbourne United.

Nick Brown and Henry Surtell added to their tally while Adam Jarman responded for Hagbourne.

Luke Black was another three-time scorer as Drayton Res won 6-1 at home to Faringdon Town A.

Ray Patrick, Adam Froud and Ricky Fletcher all also netted in the win, with Steve Wade hitting the consolation for the visitors.

In Division 5, Challow won 4-1 at home to Didcot Eagles.

Nick Gordon scored twice alongside goals from Kurtis Shaw and Cameron Rankin, while Didcot replied courtesy of a Paul Sibley strike.

TWO cup finals take place at Abingdon Town’s ground on Saturday.

Wallingford Town Res play Berinsfield Res in the AG Kingham Cup (2pm), before Ardington & Lockinge face Kintbury Rangers in the North Berks Charity Shield (7pm).
